At the time of writing, Dwan is up by $779,000 in the Durrrr Challenge after 27,185 hands. In either case, the victor keeps the spoils. However, if Antonius is up by at least $1, Dwan will pay out $1.5 million. If Dwan is up by at least $1 at the end of the 50,000 hands, Antonius will shell out $500,000.

The $1.1 million was pushed towards Dwan in the invitation-only spectacle that also featured Antonius, Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen, and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, among others.ĭwan and Antonius (pictured at right) are in the midst of tangling in the Durrrr Challenge, a 50,000 hand battle across four tables of $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. On the “ Full Tilt Million Dollar Cash Game,” which will air on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom in January, Dwan earned a $1.1 million pot against Ivey. The youngster, who was a nominee for the Poker Hall of Fame Class of 2009 before a voting committee struck him from the ballot, has over $100,000 in career earnings from WSOP felts, including an eighth place finish in a Lowball event for $45,000 and a seventh place showing in a Mixed tournament for $67,000, both in 2008.

Dwan is the latest addition to Team Full Tilt, which already includes 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event November Nine member Phil Ivey, Poker Hall of Fame nominee Erik Seidel, dual bracelet winner Howard Lederer, and Dwan’s Durrrr Challenge nemesis, Patrik Antonius.ĭwan is well-known for his cash game skills, but he’s also been a successful tournament player.
In a move that some in the poker industry have speculated about for quite some time now, Tom “durrrr” Dwan has signed with Full Tilt Poker.
